What is a Sliding Scale of Payment ?
We designed our pricing system with the intention of inclusivity and equity to enable participants from different countries, backgrounds and financial realities to join our course. The sliding scale system invites you to reflect upon your financial situation and choose an amount of your financial participation within the offered range, according to your financial means.
Sliding Scale Fee 1
Covers Accommodation, Meals & Course Infrastructure:
980 – 1800 CHF
Sliding Scale Fee 2
Covers Course Fee: Program, Facilitation, Team, Organisation:
900 – 5000 CHF
By giving this choice, we wish for a realistic Self-Assessment of these means, trusting that you are willing to contribute to the collective costs in your realistic capacity.
Sliding Scale Self-Assessment
The following questions can help you guide this decision.
Are you unemployed or work part time by choice?
Do you live in a country with high wages?
Do you travel recreationally?
Do you have investments or inherited money?
Do you have access to financial support from family or friends, if needed?
Do you cover your living costs without needing support from social institutions?
Do you pay for your own living expenses and not for those of children or other dependants?
Do you have a comparatively high earning power due to your education, place of living, nationality, gender, race or class privileges?
How to use the Self-Assessment?
If you answered YES to one or more of these questions, consider paying higher on the sliding scale.
If you answered NO to all or most questions, consider paying lower on the sliding scale or apply for a Price Reduction or Scholarship.
Prices
Your payment consists of two parts:
Fee 1
Accommodation, Meals & Course Infrastructure
This fee covers for the following fixed expenses:
- Living costs for 5 weeks at the Seminar Center of Schloss Glarisegg
(2 – 4 bedroom setting) - Cooks for breakfast and lunch
- Organic vegan food
- Seminar facilities
- Material and travel costs for team
Costs: 980 – 1800 CHF (Sliding scale)
Time of Payment: We kindly ask for this payment to be transferred upon our confirmation of your participation, latest until 30.11.2026.
Fee 2
Programme, Faciliation Team & Organisation
This fee renumerates the work of all people involved hosting the course:
- 7 week on-site preparation, hosting and closure of the course by the core team and team players (10-12 people)
- Preparations of the core team throughout the entire year
- Payment for external seminar leaders
Costs: 900 – 5000 CHF (Sliding scale)
Time of Payment: During the course
Rather than asking you to pay the course fee upfront, we offer you to come and participate – and in the meantime find out what your financial contribution is, based on the sliding scale above.
