Embodiment
Embodiment is not simply about moving now and then to keep the body “healthy,” nor about winding up the mind to push more concepts through. Embodiment is about honoring the wisdom of the body, and inviting it fully to the dance of life. A stiff body often mirrors a stiff understanding of ourselves.
Embodiment calls upon a profound intelligence — the one that requires no explanation or training for us to breathe, to drink our mother’s milk, or to learn how to cry. Some things, once experienced through the body, need no concept or abstract idea to be integrated and carried forward.
Embodiment is the practice of bringing into flow our three centers of knowing: the brain, the heart, and the gut. When these three intelligences work together in harmony, we move beyond the constraints of control and over-planning, creating space for true emergence. This is the secret of harnessing collective intelligence.
In our course we deeply cherish the embodied practices we offer, such as morning movement, dancing, singing, meditation, play, breathwork and learning to listen to our body’s impulses.
